1-Day Guide — Exploring Cascais (Portugal)
For those who are passing through Lisbon, it is worth going through the 28km that guide the way to the Cascais line. A villa that made me and my boyfriend fell in love. We had scheduled a trip to Menorca and our flight departed from Lisbon, but 2 days before our flight we decided to stay near Cascais to relax and start to get in the rhythm of vacation.
What better way to start our holiday was to discover the Cascais Line, in our case we did not rent a car, we used as means of transportation the buses that connect the Estoril / Cascais line and that cost the modest amount of € 1 for each trip. If you are in Lisbon, it is possible to take the train to Estoril station, whose location is exactly where we advise you to start this 1-day visit. Our route was done on foot.
This was our 5.4 km route represented by Google maps in detail.
We started the day at Praia do Tamariz, a lovely wide beach with bathing area, several restaurants, rock pools and even a historical monument. Their view of the line of cascais is stunning. It is a very beautiful beach that is worth visiting.
