Gouda, South Holand

The first thing that comes to mind when we hear the word Gouda, certainly is the cheese. But has anyone ever thought that the name was originated in a city? And that this city was full of surprises besides cheese?

That is the reason why i want to make you know more about the cheese city (and not only).

Where is Gouda? Gouda is a city in the South of Holland which is about 30km from Rotterdam, according to data from 2017 contains about 72,000 inhabitants.

How to get to Gouda (from Amsterdam)?

Gouda is situated about 75km from Amsterdam. The easiest way to get there if you are using public transport is to take the train that runs in Amsterdam Central to Rotterdam Central, the journey takes around 50 minutes. If you are traveling by car the journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

The ideal to enjoy the day and explore the city is going very early, since most of the museums and historical sites open to the public at 10:00 or 11:00 am, me and my boyfriend started our visit to the park Van Bergen Ijzenddoornpark.
