Blow of the Wind
Poem
After many months away from my family due to pandemic times, i finally had the chance to fly from Amsterdam and come back to the place who saw me grow: my dearest Algarve. Before take off i decided to leave you with this poem.
Poem: Blow of the Wind
For endless days,
My hand held the pen,
To find the recycled sheet,
And write about the most awaited hour,
But the truth is that inside all the letters,
The words sounded neutral,
The ink awaited its time,
But the paper understood its delay,
In the midst of a whirlwind my pen,
Held his breath,
The sheet waited for the right moment,
In cooperation,
As if it were a wedding,
For the ink to trace,
And the soul spread,
The long-awaited magic,
On the day the wind blew,
To the far southwest,
And take me.
Today the wind blew more than the lyrics,
In this dawn that passes swiftly like the wind that blows,
And that blows so fierce,
Carrying the dry leaves and
The petals that carry
The dresses of the flowery season,
The renovation goes on with the wind,
The silver seagulls provide,
The time,
Its unmistakable sound,
Brings me back,
And I see the direction the wind blows,
To that end of Europe,
Carrying a new breath,
For the long awaited moment.
Like everything the wind carries,
I let myself go,
I leave the longing with the dry leaves and the once flowering petals,
And I take the joy of the reunion
